I think if Kyle Busch would pull this off tonight, after what he did yesterday, well, that would be rather huge.

What the Shrub did yesterday was huge; a trifecta would be ginormous.

I'm going to pop in and out of the live chat with SPEEDTV's Tom Jensen and NASCAR Scene's Lee Montgomery. If anyone else wants to, the link is http://www.speedtv.com/feature/chat/

    Starts at 6.

That Tom Jensen fella is pretty good. Montgomery, too.

  5. Fox's pre-race coverage flat-out sucks.
I thought the Fox crew gave Jr. a healthy benefit of the doubt last week after the wreck. Then they had a DW-Jr. sit down this evening. Jesus!!!! It was bad. DW didn't question Jr., about the wreck, he gave the opprotunity to be gracious about it.
And what the hell is going on with the Adventures of Digger and Friends segment? Who the hell is the target audience for that one?

I'm surprised Fox got away with that title.

Murdoch's nickname in certain parts is 'The Dirty Digger'.

I'm no fan of Digger, but he's certainally better than that robot that does push-ups and jumps rope during the NFL games.

Darrell Waltrip is a lot of things -- humorous, enthusiastic, occasionally insightful.

    But he's not objective.

He was a friend of Earnhardt and looks at himself as a father figure to Jr.

Darrell will always be Darrell, and he's going to do his job in his own unique way. He's not supposed to be objective anyway. Darrell's job is to promote the sport so people watch.

For those complaining about him, let's not forget the tragedy that was Todd Harris covering IRL in 2005.

  9. I love DW's insight during the race. ... But there is NO way he should be doing interviews with Jr. following an incident, such as last week's wreck.

So is Matt Kenseth not going to win three in a row?

Doesn't appear as such. Unless that was just a LOT of smoke for a tire rub.

Doesn't look like it. Pretty big blowup there.
