Kentucky made more sense than New Hampshire. Not much, but it made more sense.

He was also talking about four-laning his new dragstrip at Concord last fall, too. Said he wanted to have side-by-side pro stock races, with two races going off at the same time.

It may be time to look at Bruton's head to see if the little plastic thing has popped out to show that he's done.

Ky. cost $78.6 million IIRC, vs. $340m for New Hampshire.

True, but Kentucky has no Cup date and NHIS two, which drives up the value. Kentucky has a better location, though.

Think he'll apologize to the good people of Miami-Dade County anytime soon?

Seriously, that was embarrassing for him.

Being Bruton means never having to say you're sane sorry.

He did four-lane the dragstrip, but you won't see all those used in an NHRA event anytime soon.

This race sucks. 10.37 seconds? Jeebus.

Who doesn't like 6 or 7 cars on the lead lap less than 1/4th of the way in?

*raises hand* (but only because Biff isn't one of them)

Doesn't Kurt Busch have a race like this every season and then fade into the background?

Maybe not this year. Last year's win at NH was a rain fluke. Maybe this year there's something to the Penske power, but we'll see. In the meantime there's some delicious irony in Newman bailing on the team, convinced the Dodges didn't have it, and going to Stewart Haas where (so far) he's a mess.

Or maybe that's just my anti-Purdue bias :)

True, but you'd think he'd recognize that some of his big-dollar sponsors are cutting back on the purchase of things like large blocks of tickets because of the weak economy that's hurting their revenues, not — as he claimed — because the White House is somehow ordering them not to make such purchases.

The thing is this: Dodge doesn't have it. Be surprised if a Dodge wins more than two races the rest of the year. Hell, I'd be shocked if a Dodge wins two races the rest of the year.

Oh, I would too, because the big teams hog so many wins. But it doesn't mean they're complete junk.
