Brian France squirms uncomfortably as the Mayfield saga takes a turn for the weird when cops are called to the Mayfield home. Hated stepmother Lisa Mayfield arrested and charged with trespassing; Jeremy and wife say hated stepmother was drunk, pounding on doors and threatening to kill them.

With hated stepmom's mugshot. A great one, too.

If Jeremy's dad did in fact kill himself, we now have pictorial evidence as to why he probably wanted to die.

I'd like to comment on this, but I've turned to stone after seeing Lisa Mayfield's face.

    Your witness, Brian France.

From the looks of her, she'd already had more than enough.

Gives new meaning to the old adage that "it takes one to know one," to listen to her leveling meth-head charges at someone else.

I wonder what Nascar is thinking now that its star witness has just been arrested. Anyone think there's still a chance Mayfield might actually be an innocent victim in all this?

Go back and look. There's been that suspicion among some of us all along.

This whole Mayfield saga, with trashy stepmoms and what not, doesn't do much to move the sport away from the hillbilly trailer park image.

    That's why I love it.

NASCAR event at the White House was pretty interesting. When you think NASCAR you don't think Obama, and when you think Obama, you don't think NASCAR. And yet, it didn't seem weird at all.

His campaign was going to sponsor a car at Pocono last year, wasn't it?

It was fine, but that group would have been whiter than the White House itself if not for Montoya. I imagine he was second on NASCAR's mandatory guest list behind Johnson.
