If anyone in the crowd PAID for Americrown food, I pity them.

    The pretzels rock, though.

Yeah, well, you spend 5 days someplace, sometimes you have to pay for food. We all went back to Marriotts...we could eat elsewhere. :D

or be Mulhern and bring bags of soy beans and granola. :D

At least at Daytona (and Richmond if you can stand to walk that far), you can pop across the street and get something at a normal price. Talladega? Homestead? Half the circuit? Can't do it.

The walk at Richmond isn't bad. But "normal price" is kind of a bad term. All those shops around there (except possibly the McD's and the Church's) jack up prices for race weekend, like anywhere else. I think a styrofoam cooler and a bag of ice at the drugstore across the street will run you about 20 bucks.

Charging me $25 to eat bad Cali-Mex? Not likely.

Heck, with Fontana crowds now measured in the hundreds rather than the thousands, I'll just head to the In 'N Out Burger and not miss a thing.

As it was, in February, I was eating lunch at Stuart Anderson's at Ontario Mills 45 minutes before the green flag and still made it to the media center for the National Anthem.

    Way to go Carl!
Do feel bad for Marcos Ambrose; that sucks to lead 125 laps and on the final turn, make a mistake and lose the win.

Jenna had a pretty good piece about Bobby Labonte getting put on a seven-race hiatus by Yates/Hall Of Fame starting this week.

Balanced and well done. The usual for Jenna.

Funnier still, some fan calling her an idiot in an e-mail. Only NASCAR fans ...

Anybody remember when he drove the Blue 22? Nice man in my dealings with him.

It won't matter since the team is in the top-35, but imagine the egg on the faces of the team if they were outside the top-35 and Darnell failed to make the field on speed with no former champ provisional to fall back on.

You mean the car Jeff Gordon was supposed to drive had Davis been a bit more with it?
