    IJAG hates you.

I know there's history there. But Christ, Hamlin, you can't go into another team's pit.

EDIT: The last one was at Charlotte, when you and I sat in the stands and watched. i remember now. Wasn't that Denny's classic quote about "you throw a rock, I'll throw a concrete block back" or some shit?

Or not so much, because I had to haul my ass back into the media center and pound out a story because Local Boy Hamlin couldn't stay out of the headlines for a night. :(

Tonight's truck race may be the first NASCAR race to ever have an Italian pace car.

And they didn't even have to modify it to make extra speed.

That was a hellacious wreck. Have to figure Logano's never been in the rotating drum on a steamroller before today.

Bless the new car. It wasn't as bad as McDowell's (when I thought for sure he was dead) but it was pretty damn bad. And he walked away like it was nothing.

The boys at Hendrick Motorsports have been ... um, innovating again. The 48 and 5 cars' body panels were too close to the tolerances NASCAR allows on the templates last week and according to Jayski, those teams were told not to bring last week's cars back to the track.

    Also ...

The lede: Childress intends to run four cars next year. The buried-at-the-bottom, more interesting lede: Childress expects a switch to fuel injection in 2011.

So on the 48, "NASCAR claims it was .006 over the tolerance" according to that story. So that's OVER, isn't it? Just like Carl Long's engine and Montoya's speeding penalty at Indy, right? Oh, I guess not.

Hey! Look who's on the pole at Kansas!

    Better check those templates again.
