Longtime Daytona Beach motorsports writer Godwin Kelly is either a prescient genius or is throwing things against the wall to see what sticks: Junior to RCR (replacing Harvick in the 3 ... uh, 29) in 2011?

I guess it comes down to what kind of future does Junior have at his current place of employment? How is he viewed by ownership? I have no idea, I'm asking the class.

Godwin should inhale less tire smoke.

I mean, it could happen. Anything could happen.

Derrike Cope is in the category of Drivers Who Caught Lightning In A Bottle Once But Who Also Need To Accept The Inevitable, Seriously.

Well, Cope got his. Junior has the same thing, but how far afield will he hunt his white whale? Seek, my son, for a happy destiny is writ by the fortunate, you destiny is writ by you.

Richard Petty says Derrike Cope can go fetch his hat.

  11. Co-worker of mine who is into NASCAR says Jr. is starting his own team.
Of course this is one those people who knows everything about everything.

Brings up a question: Who will be the first crew chief to get into the Hall of Fame? I figure Dale Inman but I'm open to other suggestions.
