    Kyle Busch is too overextended to concentrate on being competitive in Cup races, and too hotheaded to points race when it matters, so JGR whacks Steve Addington. Perfectly logical.

    RIP Dick Thompson, the PR man at Martinsville for 4 decades before retiring in 2005. Services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday in Martinsville, with burial to follow. He was 74.
