My point totally flew over his head, didn't it?

Yzerman put up some pretty good numbers his last two years. And probably could have put up pretty similar numbers had he kept playing.

But according to Mark, he shouldn't have had the chance because he'd be over his age limitation.

Haha, the best part is that Forsberg was included in that group. Dude is 35 years old and still one of -- if not the most -- talented players in the world.

Cyclone Taylor was skating around one day in the 1970s with the Vancouver Canucks and a writer asked Babe Pratt, another oldtimer, how many goals Cyclone would score in a season if he were to have played in the NHL of that particular day.

    Pratt: "Maybe 20."

Writer: "Only 20? But he was one of the greatest players in the game's history!"

Pratt: "I know that, but keep in mind he's 90 years old."

    :D

No surprise here. Sutter quitting as Devils coach:

I'd bet he'll be going back to Red Deer.

Beyond me why he even left, unless it was just to find out for himself whether he could/should coach at the NHL level.

Not from what I hear from a guy close to the situation in NJ. Could change, though.

It'd be nice in a way, but why work for his brother when he can go back to running his own show in Red Deer, answerable to no one?

Maybe they want to avoid the possibility that, if Darryl hires Brent, Darryl may someday also have to fire Brent.

Only if New Jersey allows it. I imagine the Devils will also want compensation.

I don't think you can demand compensation for coaches, can you?
