You know that this is always the way JR works. He always takes his time with this sort of thing. Now if he can find some blue liners who know how to play defense!

 

JR worry about defense? Nah ... didn't keep him from dealing Jack Johnson just because the latter didn't jump as high as JR ordered ...

 

I know. But is Jack Johnson the reason?

That is, is it because Anaheim might cough up Chris Pronger or because Jim Rutherford was right and the kid is, as he suspected, a prima donna?

 

Ok, so maybe Johnson is overrated. Or maybe he'll be a late bloomer.

Todd Richards named coach of the Minnesota Wild. I might have preferred Tippett, who did a nice job with the AHL's Houston Aeros prior to getting the Dallas job. But I'm open-minded to see what Richards can do.

 

No European Champions League this year, maybe next year with the NHL's help.

Snoop is handing out an award tonight in Las Vegas

 

Well, it probably didn't take much convincing for the NHL to get Snoop to Vegas. And he did wear a Penguins jersey in the "Gin and Juice" video 15 years ago.

 

Weren't there a bunch of guys wearing hockey jerseys in that video? I know I've seen a Springfield Indians jersey in a video before, I just can't remember if it was that one.

 

Also the "Gin and Juice" video. And the Penguins jersey also appeared in N.W.A.'s "Express Yourself," albeit by a street dancer and not Dr. Dre or Ice Cube.

 

there was a short period when hockey sweaters were in style in rap.......I was hoping rinks were gonna be flooded with brotha's, sadly that never happened.

 

Mary J. Blige had her backup dancers in Penguins jerseys in the video for "You Remind Me."

I don't know, JR. James Van Riemsdyk and Snoop got a thing going on ... fo shizz.
