Duchene, Tavares, Hedman at today's draft.

Matt's one helluva hockey player but who's dressing him?

Short sleeved white shirt? Pants with pleats?

It's a not secret that hockey players can't dress. But the Andy Sipowicz shirt is a whole new dimension.

If anybody has a picture of Brent Burns at the 2003 draft, I'd be eternelly grateful.

According to Darren Dreger, Lecavalier is in the Montreal area, but has gone to play golf, and has his cell phone turned off.

So if there's going to be a deal there, it's going to come later in the day since they've promised to run anything past him and his agent.

Damn. That makes my 20 look pretty paltry.

It's like Matt can't decide whether to play hockey or become an actuary. :)

Still, if he goes #1, who cares?

If the Leafs move up to No. 5 and get Brayden Schenn, that'll probably satisfy Burke as much as Tavares would have.....assuming he actually wanted Tavares and wasn't just using him as a smokescreen.

    Darren Dreger on Twitter:

I'm just outside the Bell Centre, a Habs fan just paid a scalper $100 for a ticket to the draft.

    Nuts or what?

That may be the only place in North America it would go for that much. And I'm pretty sure you could get them for free most places.

I think the New York Islanders have done everyone who is intrigued by the draft a huge favor by playing this so close to the vest.

Add in all the trade rumors with Pronger and Lecavalier and this is probably the most exciting draft I'll have seen. For those of you that have been following this longer than I, is there any draft you can equate this to, as far as the number of unknowns and rumors heading in?

Duchene's attire made me think of Dilbert.

no, you could get that in Vancouver and most Canadian cities. Maybe not a 100 but no chance in hell you get it for free

For whatever it's worth, John Tavares, if it is actually him, is twittering that Duchene is going No.1.
