    Make up your fucking mind...

"Dany is going to sleep on it", said Barry. Heatley would not however commit to informing the teams ahead of Tuesday's 12 noon ET free agency period opening.

On the one hand, clubs are flat-out stupid for giving guys these no-trade deals. All it does is tie their hands down the road. Ask the Maple Leafs of 2008.

On the other hand, what kind of idiot publicly requests a trade and then blocks one? Is the guy such a prima dona that he thinks he gets to pick his team and keep his fat contract, too? Dude, you signed a contract. Either honor it, agree to a pay cut or STFU and retire.

Black Ace, Heatley. Get used to it. That's how it'd be if I were running the Sens.

He might play a handful of games. In those rare appearances, he might get two or three shifts on the fourth line. No power-play time. No penalty killing. I might allow him to serve bench penalties once in a while.

Only two things would prevent me from sending him to Binghamton: the thought that someone else might inexplicably pick him up on waivers and take away my ability to punish him; and the fact that he'd displace someone on the AHL team who actually deserves to play a regular shift.

And I wouldn't miss an opportunity to bash him in the media and treat him like the piece of shit he so obviously is.

Dany Heatley should be in jail, not in the NHL.

Every freaking penny he earns should go to Graham Snyder who asked a judge to be lenient on the piece of shit who killed his son while driving 110 mph after "consuming some alcohol but not enough to become intoxicated."

I'm sure poor Dany is so haunted by it every day ... that's why he's blocking this deal until he gets his $4 million roster bonus tomorrow.

One more scumbag athlete cashing in.

The mother fucker better accept the deal after saying previously Edmonton would be acceptable. to back out now would be the most bush league thing I`ve ever seen, not just because I am an Oilers fan but it completely bones the Senators for a second time.

That being said if that is all the Oilers are giving up for him I am stoked. but my excitement is obviously tempered and am thinking it will only last a couple of season max before he demands another trade.

He gets the 4 mil regardless. its not a roster bonus, its just how they stupidly decided to structure his salary for next season, so he gets the 4 mil whether hes in Ottawa or edmonton, its just a matter of whos going to pay it, which is why Murray has been very adament about if there is no deal inplace by the time the deadline passes, hes going nowhere unless someone really ups the ante. They dont want to pay half his salary next year and get nothing for it.

As far as his accident is concerned thats a whole nother bag of beans. Alcohol was not a factor. period. He was going far to fast for the conditions. Part in parcle of being a young kid with far too much money and a vehicle that he`s not capable of handling. I dont give him a pass on it at all, but I think I think I understand it a bit more. End of the day he was behind the wheel and he was responsible. And he got off light, but he is not the first nor will he be the last. Ive seen it far too many times up here, even with those that were drinking where they basically get off with a slap on the wrist after killing someone else in a car accident. Doesnt make it right, its just the way it is. And it sucks.

Fucking ridiculous, Heatley was not even close to the legal limit. He was a 20 year old kid who was driving recklessly, the family forgave him so why the Fuck should he be in jail? It's a terrible tragedy that I imagine if people were honest with themselves could have happended to any one of us at that age, but go sit on your high horse Spnited.

He gets his bonus regardless of when he is traded.

Heatley is still a baby prima donna and if he doesn't accept this trade I hope the Senators follow what double J had in store for him.

Great trade for the Oilers if it goes through.

Gotta say I'm a little surprised at the term.
Has not been a good week for Burke. Unable to make anything work at the draft and now the Sedins don't even make it to market, signing for far less than I think everyone expected.
