That interview could have taken place in 1995.

Touche. But it was definitely more recent than that.

it wasn't meant as any sort of dig......I was just pointing out the oddity of it.

Dreger tweet, and it sounds big: NHL and NHLPA investigating what could be a huge clerical blunder in Chicago.

It makes on wonder, if they know they are going to tender RFAs an offer, why do they put it off until the last minute and risk something like this? I know there's a lot going on between the end of the hockey season and the draft and the start of free agency, but putting the offers together couldn't have taken that long, and setting aside that time has got to outweigh the risk of your RFAs becoming UFAs because the mail service was down on a holiday.

Didn't Rafalski become free agent once due to a clerical error?

With Nash & Luongo signed next year's UFA class looks weak. Frankly, I thought that Nash was going to end up in Toronto.

Colorado Avalanche trade Ryan Smyth to the L.A. Kings. No details available yet. This according to TSN.

Interesting. I can see where the Avs are coming from. They are going into a major rebuilding phase and smyth isn't exactly a youngster. I suspect Darcy Tucker is on his way out, too.

Not sure what LA is thinking here.

Preissing, Quincey and 5th round pick. Heatley isn't going to LA.
