A couple great promos that I've thought of (shoot and work)

    1. Arn Anderson's retirement speech (haven't found clip on YouTube)

    2. Archie (The Stomper) Gouldie's promo after Bad News Allen hurt his 'son' Jeff'

The first clip has Bad News turning on 'Jeff' Gouldie (who became Tommy Lane of the Rock and Roll RPMs) in the match, followed by Archie's promo. In Bret Hart's book, he said that this promo was one of the most realistic promos he ever saw.

Second clip is of Archie and Bad News promoting their one match. It's pretty good too.

    3. The birth of Austin 316:

    4. The Rock challenging Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 18:

    5. Mick Foley's Cane Dewey promo in ECW:

The Heyman shoot springs to mind because that ONS 2005 show really got me interested into wrestling again after a few years of mild interest. People were shocked because the Internet was absolutely buzzing about the Matt Hardy/Lita/Edge love triangle at the time, and for Heyman to mention that as well as a few other ribs at the current state of WWE, was cool.

Also, the Vince Russo shoot at Bash at the Beach 2000 needs to be high on the list. Jeff Jarrett laying down for Hulk Hogan, and then walking out of the ring with an ashamed and humiliated look on his face, pretty much summed up that disastrous WCW era.

Just a quick aside. There's an old WCW-oriented site called ddtdigest.com. It used to do weekly recaps of all the Nitros, Saturday Night shows, PPVs, etc., with a humorous slant and then later on with a "God this sucks, why do we do it?" slant. It was actually one of the first things I ever discovered on the internet back in the mid-90s.
Anyway, the guy who runs the site has kept it alive all these years. The last few months or a year, he's had one of his old show reviewers going back through old tapes and doing the show recaps again like he's watching it for the first time. Right now, he's up to the debut of the nWo. Just weird to see it laid out in that format with no indication of what it would become in short order.

God, I miss the Rock. This is just pure brilliance from start to finish.

"Stronger than a bear! Faster than a buck! Biggest thing to hit Canada 'cause the Maple Leafs SUCK."

That promo was great. It was so strange seeing The Rock as a heel again, too.

And I don't know where to begin with Flair...

"My shoes cost more than your house!"

(Opens up suit jacket, shows label) "You see this right here? That's right. 'Custom made for the world heavyweight champion.' "

"I've spent more on spilled drinks than you'll make in a year!"

Wow...few guys can make fans turn on them just like that. The Rock was fantastic in that heel run, and from some of the other things I've seen during that time frame, it seemed he was enjoying himself as well.

    So, here's a downtime question.....

What is the worst match in the history of Wrestlemania? Now, I'm not talking strictly on a crappy match scale. I mean, you can weight a lot of things here. Biggest disappointment? Worst finish? Worst execution? Worst storyline?

I have a hard time believing anything is worse than the Goldberg vs. Lesnar bout, but I'd love to hear your take. Oh, and Booker T vs. HHH was pretty crappy as well.
