My money's on them just forgetting they've used it in the past.

I know it's not as bad as it has been at other times ... but I just don't get the booking anymore.

Well, Batista's return makes it a bit better. But still, the rest of the evening was pretty haphazard.

I thought I was going to have to deal with another of Orton's "hey I let him do it to me" interviews to retcon the shitty booking after he so dramatically oversold Vince's punches. But the Batista run-in and subsequent switching out of Vince for the Backlash main saved it.

I probably shouldn't be too surprised, but I couldn't help but wonder why neither Michaels or 'Taker didn't make an appearance tonight.

On the bright side, it's got to mean Edge is coming back to Raw after the draft next week. Right?

Batista returned saved that final segment. Good to see Big Dave back. I don't think HHH/Batista/Shane McMahon vs. Legacy will be that bad of a match...you know Shane will take a bump and Orton and Batista work well together. The draft should be pretty interesting next week.

I absolutely do not like Vickie as the GM of RAW. She's incredibly irritating. I wonder if Edge ends up on RAW now. Probably.

I think maybe this is how they get out of the Vickie/Edge/Big Show thing, by having her on Raw with them on Smackdown. She said it was Edge's last shot at the title and kind of laughed to herself, so maybe that means something.

Mind you that two Raw guys still hold the main titles.

It's also kind of pointless to have a draft when people have been appearing on whatever show for the past eight weeks.

Funny. Yesterday, I just mentioned to my wife, "you know, I bet they bring Batista back for the Draft."

    And there ya go.

Remember when HBK came back for his last grand return and beat the shit out of Orton? Now that was great. Batista sprinting out there just didn't do it for me.

I thought the tag match tonight was really, really good. I hope they move all the tag teams all to ECW and try to revive the program.

The rest of the night (Santina and Steamboat aside?). Strange. Then again, it is the night after Mania and the week before the draft, so I suppose I shouldn't have been expecting much.

Tonight was kind of like a "Who's not crippled" show where they booked things according to who could actually perform. Two multi-wrestler tag matches? Really?

Gotta love Steamboat though. He was over big time in that match.

Oh, and color me uninterested in Batista's return. I like to the idea of him turning on HHH and costing him the title at Backlash though.

    I t
True. But I think we saw last year how much the draft really shook things up (especially the midcard). Hopefully it's the same way this year.

Could anyone see The Undertaker becoming a RAW regular? It's been years, I don't even remember the last time he was not a SmackDown superstar.
