He's certainly not a consistent main-eventer yet, but having younger, up-and-coming guys like MVP and Miz interact with the likes of Orton and Cena is a promising sign. Also, Shelton has had some great matches with The Undertaker on SD! in recent weeks where he has looked really good in defeat. For far too long, WWE has neglected doing this, keeping the main event stars almost off limits to the other talent. They need to realize that building stars is equally as important as maintaining current ones. And it seems like when they do realize they have something, with guys like CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, and even Bobby Lashley a few years ago, they flirt with the idea but never really follow through and elevate them to the top of the roster.

The Miz's rapid improvement and versatility over the past year undoubtedly has a lot to do with the push and singles run on WWE's marquee brand. I hope Morrison gets some love on SmackDown too.

That Shelton Benjamin hasn't gotten a real push is a travesty. That man is a freaking stud.

Glad to see MVP get a main eventer promo. Wish they would've scrapped the Shane interference though.

Not a bad RAW, sure it was awkward, but it set the stage for new feuds nicely.

Miz: "Cena, you're right, I can't see you. Your movies aren't in the theaters long enough."

    ZING!

Show-Batista wasn't nearly as painful to watch with the magic of the >> button. At least they didn't get savaged by the crowd like their ECW match at the Hammerstein Ballroom a couple years ago.

The reaction when he came out for the main event was lame. The pop when he first showed up was pretty good, but it was a letdown come match time.

You thought his pop was good? I saw a lot of people just sitting in their seats when he came out. In fact, the people watching RAW with me all said "Hmm, that didn't go over very well."

That being said, he did cut a good promo and probably saved it. I just don't know if the RAW fans will be able to get behind MVP. I think his character is probably better suited as a heel, but that's just my humble opinion.

i didn't get to see the crowd when he came out, but what i heard sounded decent.

we need to get away from this pc generation crap and go back to stuff that made the wwf great during the attitude era.

best part of the night was miz cutting on cena. mvp ripping on rhodes and dibiase was great, but his rip on orton wasn't near as good.

and count me in the crowd that's disappointed with the lack of a push for people like benjamin and mvp. they need to finish what they started with mvp, and make him the big star making the big bucks.

Well, don't I have egg on my face. And it's scrambled. My bad.

Raw last night was O.K. I liked how they put MVP in that spot, but he's another guy that I can't see as a babyface. He started to get a better reaction as his match with Orton went along, but it was pretty quiet at first.

Shane looked like he got a pretty good pop, but still, enough with the McMahons already.

The Santina segment, frankly sucked. Half the divas didn't even get in the ring, and Hornswoggle got involved.

Miz put on a very good promo. My fear is that the powers that be won't push him too high because of his size.

IMO, the pop wasn't that impressive. But MVP has never been a RAW wrestler. His debut was on SmackDown in 2006 and he's remained on that brand since then. I'm betting a sizeable chunk of the audience don't really know who he is, because many people just watch RAW and are busy on Friday and don't buy PPVs.

How about Kofi's massive pop though? It keeps getting louder and louder each week.

I think that's why they put him out there to cut that promo and then gave him a match with the champ. Get him over. Show the fans who he is, what he's got. Build him. If they put him out there every week against established RAW guys and give him a mic, I think it'll be just a matter of time before he's over with the RAW crowd.

How about the fact that Miz calls out Cena to no response (assumption is Cena isn't there), and then Cena comes out a half-hour later. Miz should call him out on that next week. "You're ducking me, Cena!"
