    Among the alternatives:

    Denver Coliseum
McNichols is a parking lot now.
Colorado Springs' arena is where ECW/Smackdown are slated to be taped on Tuesday.
Other arenas, like MSG and Staples Center in LA have, according to WWE PR machine, have offered their venue.

Anyone else see a DX invasion angle (a la the old DX-WCW invasion) happening in Denver next week?

For the first time perhaps ever, I completely agree with Vince here.

He's in the right. He should get the venue.

Can't the Lakers beat them by 25 on Sunday night instead?

It's not the NBA's job to make sure venues/teams don't have other things scheduled if and when something like this arises.

I'm sure Denver's owner knew well in advance the playoff schedule. And I'm almost certain that was written in stone before the WWE event was.

While I know it's not going to happen, here's a scenario that would get my boy Tommy Dreamer the strap on ECW.

The week leading up to the day that Dreamer has to win the belt or retire, he comes out and with Christian still the strap holder, Dreamer pleads for one last shot. Christian, being the honorable guy that he is, gives it to him.

Christian is about ready to finish Dreamer when Swagger comes down and interferes, getting Christian's attention. This allows Dreamer to plant a DDT on Christian, or even a Dreamer Driver, and he gets the pin.

Swagger then gets on the mic and challenges Dreamer to a match that same night: "I did you a favor, now you owe me one."

Dreamer, being the upstanding dude he is, agrees and then Swagger takes the strap back in the same night Dreamer won it.

It's a long shot, but it's the only way I can see Dreamer not retiring, although I think he finally needs to.

    Take Mike Knox with him.

Those are the only two holdovers from the original ECW, now that Sabu and RVD are out of the WWE ring. Or is Sandman still around?

Basically, Credible's title win over Dreamer (after Dreamer's title win over Taz) again?

Not sure what happened in the Christian-Dreamer match taped for Smackdown, but maybe Dreamer challenges Christian in a no holds barred match for the ECW title at Extreme Rules, wins, then retires that night? Then you run a tournament for the title that culminates in whatever stupid PPV is next, Swagger beats Christian in the final after Kozlov interferes, Christian faces Kozlov in the next round of feuds and Swagger gets ... Finlay? Bourne? Not many faces in ECW, it seems.

Knox was a part of the original ECW?

He was there at least at the tail end of it.

Don't know if he was there at the very beginning, but he was there.

Granted, I'm trusting Wiki here, but it says his first ECW gig was when he was Kelly Kelly's boyfriend...? Either way...a lucky sonofabitch.

Jericho was in the original ECW. Not for long, but he was there. Kind of like that half-season Randy Johnson pitched for the Astros.
Didn't Mysterio do a stint there as well?
Not like either of those guys are trademark ECW guys like Dreamer or Sandman, though.
