Knox wasn't a part of the original ECW that we all know and love. But he was one of the original wrestlers on the WWE version of EC-dub.

Mysterio did do a stint there, with some tremendous matches with Psychosis.

In Jericho's book, he said he only did something like 25 matches (I can't remember the exact amount) in ECW over a several month span, yet fans still think of him as an ECW wrestler.

Hard to believe the original ECW has been gone for eight years now.

Mysterio and Jericho were in ECW. Lawler had that crossover angle where he aligned with RVD and Sabu to take down ECW. Styles still works for WWE, and Dusty Rhodes was briefly a part of ECW as well. That appears to be it for ECW 1.0 alum in WWE.

Malenko still works backstage, right? I saw him in a shot after Orton kicked Shane in the stomach a few months back IIRC...

Was just about to post that, Meat. Yes, Malenko still works for WWE in a backstage role (as a road agent for ECW, according to wiki).

For whatever reason, I was confusing Mike Knox with Mike Awesome, who was part of the original ECW.

Stone Cold was even in there and held the world title in 1995.

    RIP Mike Awesome.

I'd pay a few hundred to watch another Awesome-Tanaka match live.

Austin never held the title. The Sandman beat champion Mikey Whipwreck and Stone Cold in a three-way dance at December to Dismember (I miss those great names) in 1995.

The WWE list of ECW champions was confusing then.
