Thanks for doing that cuz I'm taking that night off as I usually try to do, because, hey, I like watching The Oscars. And, no, that doesn't mean I lose points off my man card.

Oh, wow. I'm dumb. I just figured out that the IC Title match tonight is in CM Punk's hometown of Chicago. And, hopefully, this is the LAST time they'll square off after two bullshit endings.

 

That scene with Orton and Stephanie just got me to thinking how weird it is to have a business meeting with a man in a Speedo.
And wouldn't he get cold wandering around the building in just that? Shouldn't he put some sweats on or something?

 

God, that was a fun Punk-Regal match. Wouldn't mind seeing them go at for 45-60 minutes.

 

Well, that's cool. CM Punk is the new IC Champ. You knew they wouldn't make him lose after two previously disputed matches, and Raw tonight being in his hometown.

 

Watching Punk celebrate, I gotta say I'm not sure there's a guy in the WWE right now who appreciates being a champion more than he does. He just looks like he's really enjoying the moment and savoring it. He had that same look after he won the world title.

 

It helps he's in Chicago and gets his biggest pop there, so he can really suck it up. But yeah, you always get the impression with him that he really just won the title at the end of the match.

I'd like to see Regal get a run near, if not at, the top. Great worker, great facials, great selling, strong interview, good character. If it weren't for all those, ahem, demons, you'd think he'd have a world title run or three by now.

 

Agh... had a chance to go tonight. A bit disappointed I couldn't see that live.

 

Regal would make an outstanding heel world champion. I'd like to see him get at least one run with the strap.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing him make a run as world champion. He's played a heel for as long as I can remember, but he's always has a strong character and he has always been an excellent technical wrestler. As much as you hate the guy, you gotta respect him for what he does in the ring.
