only three of those should be in the main event picture right now. just don't buy morrison, shelton or rey as serious contenders for goldy at this time.

He's reminding me of a WCW-era Chris Jericho. Both were great on the mic; both were smaller guys; and both had fake feuds with top stars (Jericho with Goldberg, and Miz with Cena). Hopefully the Miz gets more of a push than Jericho did back then.

Yes, and I agree. But they've got the talent there to take it to the next level ... if they were to be given a decent push.

And Mysterio? Did you see his match with Edge two weeks ago? Damn solid work. He could hang with him in a title feud.

Well, damn. I missed all three hours last night. Some of you sound disappointed, some sound satisfied. Guess it just depends on what part of RAW we're talking about. Either way, it was eventful and I missed it.

He is. Everyone knows he's pretty much done; it seems like WWE is actually giving the old ECW a little bit of respect (for once) and putting over a guy who's legitimately busted his ass over the years. Dreamer seems to have done everything Vince has asked of him since moving over. A halfway-decent title run, without the threat of Impact Players interruption, is an awfully nice gesture to a guy who probably doesn't have the face recognition of someone like Christian.

I can see Vince giving Dreamer some kind of backstage off-camera role upon his retirement. Doesn't Dean Malenko still have a job like that in WWE, after all?

Yes. And so does Arn Anderson. Or he did, at least.

Malenko, Anderson, Steamboat, Sarge ... Dreamer will likely fill that role as well eventually, if not already.

He already does if I'm not mistaken. He's kind of like a sponsor for the new guys on the road, which is why he's in ECW. Agani, i could be mistaken.

Also, anybody that slams Tommy Dreamer for being slow doesn't know why he got to be that way. That guy has a chronic back condition and I'm surprised he's still working. That's been that way since earlier this decade. God, it sounds so weird to say that.

Dreamer retaining, one of the best things that happened on Raw. And I didn't see a bit of it because I've been working Mondays.

    God, I need a TIVO!

Anyone who watched ECW in the old days when it was hardcore wrestling day after day will understand why Dreamer is "slow" in the ring today. There's no doubt that this is probably Dreamer's final months in WWE as I'm sure the ECW Championship is the icing on the cake in his great career. There's no doubt that WWE wanted to paid homage to one of the greats.

He'll go into the HOF and one of the best of all-time. Unlike guys like the Sandman, Tommy Dreamer was great and could do more in the ring than smash beers over his forehead and smash people with canes.

I'm happy for the guy. You know he's living up all of this.

When he came out to the ring, he looked as happy as I've seen him for awhile. I'm surprised the guy didn't start crying when he got that pop.

I thought I noticed TDreamer had a back brace or something on under that ECW shirt he wore during his successful WORLD TITLE DEFENSE. :)

I also gotta think that Christian had no problem staring at the lights for a guy who so clearly paved the way.

Christian knows he'll have his turn to bask in the spotlight again soon. Let Dreamer have the glory for now, because it is more than likely his last chance to shine.

And hey, he's married to ECW's Beulah McGillicutty, so he's got no problem calling it a career and going home to that :D
