Not to mention, they could reverse the roles that way. Have Miz get a cheap win, then come out on Raw tonight and say that he beat Cena, has nothing left to prove, and is moving on to bigger and better things. Then have a shamed Cena out for revenge, and make him the one chasing the Miz for the next month. You get two good mic workers going at it, another PPV match — maybe even some more cheap Miz wins on Raw — and at the end of it you can have Cena earn a clean win. Preferably after a decent match, but even with a squash if necessary.
Cena stays over. The Miz gets over. A new star is born, a decent and fun little time-waster feud is hatched to get you through to Summerslam.
    Now? Who the hell knows.

    Makes too much sense.

I could see them turning this into a Miz vs. the world story. He talks trash to tons of people, all beat him pretty badly and then someone calls him a joke, he goes away for a week or two, comes back and just stomps on dudes. No talk, just business.

I think it would be an interesting turn. I just hope they don't simply bury him after this. Granted, his wrestling skills aren't prime time ready but his mic work is fantastic and that shouldn't be ignored.

I liked the Edge-Jericho addition to the tag match because I can't stand Cody Rhodes (or his brother or father, for that matter).

That said, everything else was predictable. I knew Rey wasn't losing his mask yet; I knew the same old boring Cena would win, the Punk DQ was a cheap heel move and not convincing (that he couldn't see), and Trips NEVER does a clean job anymore.

So the opening few minutes have been pretty good.

Vince telling fans he could give all of them their ticket money back but wouldn't. That was classic Vince.

A 15 wrestler trade between the three brands?

Missed the first part of Raw.

    What were the trades?

They didn't saw so. But here's a quick recap...

    * Vince said the new plan is a weekly host (aka GM) every week on RAW. Botchtisteroids is the guy this week.
    * He said Orton will wrestle in a gauntlet match against three of the five guys.
    * I'm guessing two of them are Edge and Jericho because they're about to wrestle the Colon's right now. It's my understanding the unified champs can wrestle on any of the three shows.
    * Edge and Jericho got some big cheers last night and they just cut a pre-match heel promo to reiterate their status.

How many of us would have put money on Trips doing the job and elevating MVP like a real leader is supposed to?

I didn't think so. Job to the pedigree.

I'm guessing the same thing happens in the Cena-Miz rematch. I'm still hoping beyond hope they do the right thing, pull out the backhoe, and dig Miz out from the 12-foot crater they buried him in last night, but I'll be shocked if it happens.

I like the concept, too, of Edge and Jericho openly using the tag belts (and the ability to defend them on either show) to further their own ends. It makes so much sense for both characters. I look forward to them running amok for the next couple months.
Plus, from a practical standpoint, you get two of the best workers in the business putting on great matches with guys they don't normally match up with. It can't do anything but help the Colons, Legacy, the Hart Foundation and any other people they can form up into a tag team.

Agree. I love Jericho and Edge. Just wish those at the top would pass the torch for those who need it (MVP, Miz, Morrison, Shelton Benjamin, even Ziggler).

Edge and Jericho get the win. Crowd enjoys it. Ha ha. Amazing no matter how often some heels make fun of fans, pull cheap shenanigans and beat up the baby faces, they're still likable.
