2009 Running Pro Wrestling Thread

It's funny. Last night I caught the show "Life After Film School" on Fox Movie Channel, where a group of film students interviews a director, actor, etc. Cena was on there last night talking about "12 Rounds". He's not nearly the meathead I thought he might be. Seemed aware of his limitations as an actor and pretty much admitted "The Marine" sucked (he said he was asked to do it a month before shooting started after Austin bailed on it).
He was also asked about his approach to wrestling, and he said he looked at his job as being to carry on the business. Said he appreciated the things guys like Hogan, Savage and the Rock accomplished and wanted to help carry on that tradition. It'll be interesting to see if he helps create a new star with this angle or buries one. We'll find out in a few minutes.

 

So far Miz is giving Cena more of a battle tonight than The Bash.

 

Good match here, and the announcers seem to be selling Miz a little. I'm cautiously optimistic.

 

I think Miz is getting too much offense to win this. It's too lopsided for him thus far to get the win.

Did anyone hear the "Cena sucks!" chant early on?

 

Ho-hum.

 

Sigh.

I wonder if we are the only ones who crave a push for other wrestlers? There's got to be a large sentiment across the "WWE Universe," too, right?

The Divas serve one purpose: they're hot. The wrestling is terrible.

At least it won't be as boring. I like it.

 

Jack Swagger to RAW too.

Nice up-and-coming heel to feud with the Kofi Kingston and MVPs.

 

Wow. I like these two guys going to RAW. Apparently they think Swagger is ready for the big(ger) time.
