Damn, that sucks for Edge. I didn't really like the whole Rated 'R' Superstar character, nor his marriage to Piggy Guerrero, but the dude can wrestle and he's fantastic on the mic. Here's to a speedy recovery.

    Terrible news.

I was really looking forward to the Jericho-Edge banter, a potential face turn and him being reunited with Christian.

I'm probably in the minority, but I think Edge is one of the top two or three all-around Superstars.

Oh, I definitely agree with you. He doesn't have bad matches, and his promo work is always great.

I don't know if he would have gotten as big a push had he just been "Edge" and not the "Rated R Superstar."

That's kind of like saying Steve Austin wouldn't have been as big if he hadn't gone for the Stone Cold gimmick, or Dwayne Johnson if he hadn't morphed into The Rock.

I think that's a given. But I guess what I'm saying is that I liked him when he was just "Edge." I didn't feel the same way about Stone Cold when he was Stunning Steve or The Rock when he was just plain old Rocky Maivia.

Either way, it's going to suck without him. I though the Jericho thing was really about to take off.

    Damnit!

Edge is obviously one of the best in-ring workers and promo givers in the WWE. I think the guy if freakin' awesome. He's one of my faves. His theme is damn good, too.

This disappoints me because he was one of the few reasons I tune in every week. Now, he's out for a while. I wonder how/if the WWE will play this, as they've played up injuries of Botchtisteroids and Cena in storyline form over the past year or so.

Plus, the whole tag team titles thing with Jericho was already catching on and had me really excited. DAMNIT.

    1. Announce Edge is injured
    2. Allow Jericho to pick a new partner
    3. After a few weeks of tryouts with other wrestlers, have Jericho pick Matt Hardy
    4. Jericho and Hardy defend the titles until Edge comes back
    5. Edge makes Jericho choose between him and Hardy
    6. Jericho thinks about it, offers his hand to Edge ... wait no DOUBLE-TEAM ATTACK ON EDGE
    7. ?????

The problem is that I think the company is perpetually in a state of No. 7.

Why do I feel like Christian should be prominently involved in all this?
