I could definitely see Shaq doing it. He's always been about the 'rasslin. Cuban, perhaps. NFL teams always ham it up in the front row for the camera when Raw/Smackdown hit their town, so there's probably a few guys who'd be down for it.

LeBron was in the front row at Raw a few years ago, but I think he was gone before the show was over.

I'm trying to think of some other celebrity superfans who show up in the front row every time WWE comes to their town. Those are the guys you would want doing this.

David Arquette would be amusing, if for no other reason than to see whether or not they reference his infamous WCW deal.

I think Vince should come out and tease that the next week a "former world champion" would guest host, and then a week later reveal Arquette as the guy.

How long before that one guy, the stupid "Sign Guy" who was featured on one of those old Raw commercials (along with that one former Diva contest who went on to be a Deal or No Deal model) gets to be the guest GM? I reckon this idea will last only until Summerslam (when Aerosmith has a song connected to the PPV, ugh.).

Actually, the best one of these would be if one of the low-rung guys gets to be GM for a night ... and still doesn't put himself in the main event.

Not that I expect it will happen, but I could see Obama doing it with a taped segment on the TitanTron.

Is Jesse Ventura relevant enough to get a pop from the crowd?

I suspect this is leading up to someone selling his GMship one week to Trump, if they're thinking about resurrecting that angle (which they were a few weeks ago)

Does this GM for a night thing actually allow Bret Hart to make his long-awaited appearance? Imagine the possibilities with that one. And no, I'm not a Bret Hart fan.

Doubt it. This was the guy who refused to appear at WrestleMania the night after he was inducted into the HOF.

Ratings for WWE and a nice chunk of money for Bret.

I'm sure Bret is pretty well off financially and, not that he definitely would decline, I don't think he gives a damn about WWE's television ratings.

I hate to be unoptimistic about the chances of Bret appearing on Raw, but I just don't see it happening.

Bret's not going anywhere near WWE again. I was in attendance at the HOF he was inducted in and the Mania afterward. Dude looked frail and appeared not to want to be there. And from the photos I saw of him on his book/DVD tour, I'd say he's had more than enough of wrestling.

He'll be there to induct Owen into the HOF at some point. After that, the next time you see him will be in an "In Memory Of..." piece.

But, hey, what do I know? He could very well show up next week.
