Trips hasn't really been getting it handed to him until last night. I for one, expected him to beat DiBiase/Rhodes, or at least get DQed for bringing in the sledgehammer.

Now, if the WWE were smart (ha-ha), they would put DiBiase/Rhodes over DX at SummerSlam. Legacy would gain legitimate credentials as a main event force (beyond Orton).

Except, the cynical person in me thinks it'll just be another DX squash.

Trips on the mic was hilarious. And his line to HBK before HBK 'hung up' on him was priceless.

I actually didn't like HHH on the mic, just because it negated the whole match before. He took two finishers, and yet was cracking wise about 20 seconds later. Can't he just do the job cleanly without some weird hijinks? He's one to talk about HBK... He was a jerk in the Bret Hart era, but HHH (or the booking committee in charge of his character) and Cena just don't get beat without something screwed up happening.

I get what you're saying about Trips taking the finishers and cracking wise, but he was propping himself up on the top rope as he was cutting the promo. It's not like he bounced right back up.
I was much more annoyed with Cena's match. Totally predictable and they cut off the Miz at the knees. Seeing the same six matches they've had every show for the past month also sucked.

Weird theory that just occurred to me. Raw is terrible right now. No one in their right mind can deny that. But with some of the guys getting a run on Smackdown (Morrison, Punk, Hardy, Mysterio) is it almost better for the WWE long-term to keep the egos all on one show?
You let those other guys build up a bigger following on Smackdown, legitimize them as title contenders, and then by early next year you can mix and match them with the big three on Raw.
It still sucks because we know the unholy Cena-Orton-HHH trinity isn't going anywhere. But I can dare to dream, can't I? It's all I've got left. It almost feels like WCW circa 1999. I'm half expecting the nWo to pop up any week now.

Sooo what happens to The Miz at this point? My guess is something to do with Morrison on SD...either a rivalry or they team back up somehow.

What they should do to push Miz is (since he's a 'free agent') have him go on ECW and SD and do run-ins and/or beat the shit out of people. Let him keep the 'I'm awesome!' bit, of course, but give him a bit of an edge...like they alluded to once for about 5 minutes with Cena in the last couple months. Then, gun for either Morrison or a strap.

    Makes too much sense.

Just like everything that has been posted in this thread.

If Raw is what ails you, Smackdown is the cure. I have read this week's spoilers, and I think you'll be pleasantly refreshed by what you'll see. Good matches, new faces in the main event, character development ... you know, all the stuff you don't get on Mondays.

The Miz is needed on ECW. I watched that last night and it was like watching "Who in the hell are these people"

Considering it's TNA, I shouldn't be surprised; but this clusterfuck going on right now is unreal. The entire TNA roster is brawling all over the arena. Eventually, Florida police showed up.

    Oh, brother...

Speaking of TNA ... and going back to a previous discussion on entrances ...

There is none better than The Beautiful People right now:

I'm not watching the show (naturally). Are the cops there as a legitimate response to breaking it up, or are they part of the show?

I think it's part of the show, but they did a damn good job leaving that in question, too. There were guys brawling in the ring, in the parking out, outside in the dumpster area and in the locker room. It was nuts.
