I'm curious what kind of garbage will be on TNA Impact tonight. It looks like Bubba Ray is taking on Kurt Angle at TNA's next PPV while Devon will be taking on Sting as both Bubba Ray and Devon have decided that, as a tag team, they have accomplished every goal in front of them. Both matches will be epic failures, though.

Weren't the recent reports saying that Bubba Ray Dudley was so banged up after so many years that he might never make it back to the ring, and now, maybe three weeks later, he's back in another program?

    Looks like that was true.

There were numerous reports, and Devon claimed several of them to be true, but Bubba Ray wasn't ready to be done. That, and Devon and Bubba Ray just won the IWGP Tag Titles in TNA's most recent visit to Japan. On TNA tonight, though, the match was changed to Sting vs. Angle vs. Bubba Ray vs. Devon in a four-way match and the first person to get a pin wins the TNA World Title. Sting doesn't even need to be pinned either to lose the title.

Despite my previous actual run-ins with Bubba Ray, the man does deserve a world title run. Why? Because there's no one on this EARTH that can cut a better promo than that guy. If you don't agree, then you need to watch old ECW tapes. The guy is pure hate on the stick. He is the KING HEEL. Believe it.

He's definitely in the strong promo group.

As for Sting, what a waste of a title reign again. I'm guessing the only reason he probably got a run with the title is because it's likely in his contract. He's old, yes, and his value is in name only. In fact, Sting's only notable thing now IMO is that he never went to WWF/E. I see his picture is on the cover of the new Starrcade DVD put out by WWE and I bet he's not getting a dime for it either.

Wasn't Sting one of the only ones not to join WWE after WCW folded?

I think they have to pay him to use his likeness. Jesse Ventura first sued to get royalty money from his likeness on videos. He got nearly a million bucks. Joey Styles later sued because the WWF/E used his face for about two seconds on a Stone Cold video.

Sting has always refused to join the WWE. He hated their raunchy style in the late 90s.

And given that he's the one guy who never buckled under and signed up, Vince would have him jobbing to Big Daddy V at an ECW house show within a month.

I was listening to my local radioshow this morning and they had Randy Orton on for an interview. One of the most interesting points Orton made was they asked, because Orton was calling from his office, was what kind of stuff did Orton have on his walls.

Orton said he had pictures of himself and also the belts he won framed up on the wall. One of the pictures he said he had was a picture of him and Hogan when he was five. Next to that picture, however, Orton said he has a picture of punching Hogan in the face when they faced off at SummerSlam.

Orton and the guys on the show seemed to get a kick out of that.

I remember seeing an interview at one point where he said another reason he didn't make the jump was because of how the WWF used Booker T (the WCW champ) out of the gate. I guess The Rock served Booker on the mic (I believe 'Who are you?' were his first words) in Booker's debut, and Sting figured if that's how Vince & Co. treated the WCW champ, he wouldn't stand a chance.

I thought you guys might like these. I was dicking around online last night and I stumbled upon these. WWE puts together these "Legends of Wrestling" shows where they discuss certain topics from wrestling's past and present. In this particular episode, the panel of Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, Michael Hayes, Mick Foley and Eric Bischoff discuss the Monday Night Wars and some of the behind-the-scenes stuff behind it and what really happened. Some of the stuff they talk about kind of goes off track, but it's a good watch.

It includes some old footage, too.

I don't really know how Bischoff DIDN'T jump over the table and slug Hayes during some parts.
