The Festus character is awful. Please do away with him, WWE.

Given the WWE's history of searching for the Undertaker and debuting him at SummerSlam (Taker vs. Taker, anyone?), I think it's a good thing they're waiting to bring him back.

Oh but it goes so well with "biscuits and gravy....."

"Biscuits and Gravy" is an awesome song, and one of the few WWE themes I can actually sing to my 2-year-old. Hard to sing along with Orton's or HHH's theme to her! :)

And I kinda like Festus. The bell gimmick is kinda funny.

Here's my proposed WWE storylines for Raw and Smackdown post-Summerfest:

Orton beats Cena, Hardy beats Punk, Jericho-Big Show keep titles but by cheating somehow. Then, on Raw, Show comes out and tells Orton that since he has a win over the champion, he should be the No. 1 contender. Show then goes up against Orton at the next PPV (Hell in a Cell, I think from the schedule online) and wins the title. On Smackdown, Jericho comes out and challenges Hardy to a title match at the same PPV, and he wins the title from him, putting all the world titles (other than ECW, which doesn't count) on Jericho and Show. Then they get to live up to their billing as the greatest pairing in sports entertainment.

Then, on Raw, the Big Show accepts a challenge from whoever for the WWE title at the following PPV (Bragging Rights). On Smackdown, Teddy Long tells Show and Jericho that they have to give Cryme Tyme a rematch at the same PPV. Jericho defends his title on Smackdown, but the next week he gets pinned by Hardy in a tag match, so Long gives Hardy a non-title match, with the stipulation that if Hardy wins, he gets a title shot at the same PPV that Jericho is already wrestling a tag match and Show is wrestling twice. Of course, Jericho loses (Cryme Tyme interference). So at the PPV, you'd have Show defending his title agains someone (Orton?), Jericho defending his title against Hardy and Show-Y2J defending the tag titles against Cryme Tyme.

Then it all falls apart for Show and Y2J. They keep the tag titles, but Jericho comes out and inadvertantly costs Show the WWE title. Show then comes out and purposefully costs Y2J the world heavyweight title. The two then drop the tag titles within two weeks and one goes to Raw permanently, the other Smackdown.

Hey, better Festus than Fake Kane.

    Kane has no personality.

I also miss the Russian. ECW needs him because they're so lacking in anything.

Vladier Koslov is a great wresler, but he's so damn boring. I remember going to Survivor Series last year in Boston. The crowd was chanting "BORING" through the entire match. Koslov has no personality or anything.

Kozlov needs a manager or needs to be part of a stable. Put him, Regal, Paul Burchill and the new guy Sheamus together, call them the European Union.

One monkey wrench in that scenario: By most accounts, Hardy plans on taking himself out of the game after Summerslam, so he'll probably drop the title back to Punk.

Hardy's going to be out? That sucks. Smackdown needs him, unless they plan on elevating Morrison to feud with Punk. I guess they could throw Matt Hardy or Rey Mysterio against him, but I don't think Punk's heel persona will work as well against any of them.

Given the push Morrison has been getting as of late, I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a main event push.

I don't think they'd be ready to quite drop the title to him yet, but I can see a feud brewing.
