"PWInsider.com is reporting that at WWE's No Way Out PPV in February, which features the return of the Elimination Chamber Match, will see both the WWE Title and the World Heavyweight Title defended at the same time in the chamber match."

I find that wording rather confusing as they say, "the WWE Title and the World Heavyweight Title defended at the same time in the chamber match." By that wording, it sounds like they are going to have both Raw and Smackdown wrestlers in the ring. That, however, would make zero sense.

 

I think I see where this is going... :

 

That would be cool, but I don't think the timing for this kind of angle is really practical. I mean why only have one champion heading into WresleMania 25 when there has, for at least the past several years, always been two? Basically the Royal Rumble winner would be forced into facing the winner of Elimination Chamber match which would eliminate the suprise as to whether the Rumble winner would jump brands or stay on his brand to face that current champion.

 

They're finally re-unifying the belts? What horrible timing.

 

Maybe they're doing a First pinfall wins the WWE title, next pinfall wins the World title ... like how they did with at one WM when they had Angle with two titles and he lost both to Benoit and Jericho?

 

It's the Elimination Chamber though...guys lose by pin, per se, not win.

 

The Royal Rumble is tonight from Detroit, Michigan. Here are some of my predictions:

30-man Royal Rumble match: Orton

WWE champion Jeff Hardy vs. Edge: Edge

World heavyweight champion John Cena vs. JBL: Cena

ECW champion Jack Swagger vs. Matt Hardy: Jack Swagger

WWE women’s champion Beth Phoenix vs. Melina: Melina

The only match that doesn't seem predictable is Phoenix vs. Melina (and the Rumble match, but it's going to be Orton or Trips main-eventing WrestleMania)...there has to be a swerve somewhere on the card, not sure exactly where.

Also, there are seven spots left in the Rumble. Any predictions for the annual surprises?

 

The WWE is going to start releasing the "Legends of Wrestling" episodes on DVD very soon...February I think.
Could be a Best Buy exclusive if I remember correctly.
Anyway, as a subscriber to WWE On Demand I am totally stoked they are putting out the DVDs.
