He had the white strap at some point, but not then...? I don't know. So many different colors during the early '90s.

And Vince pulls a Matrix-like maneuver to dodge a bullet. Jeff Hardy is arrested on felony drug trafficking charges in North Carolina. Looks like he had about a day's worth laying around the house:

Wouldn't this have been wonderful to have happen in the middle of the feud with Punk?

This Hardy news is depressing on so many levels. I don't even know where to begin.

I think it's soooo much shit that they couldn't possibly bring it up without pissing off the government. And wow, unless the WWE somehow knew this was coming, they dodged a huge bullet.

On the other hand, if they're pretty sure they're in the clean, they could really tee off and distance themselves further. They can even use the fact of their offering Hardy a new contract to distance themselves from the crime, saying "hey, if we knew he was a dealer, would we have worked so hard to keep him, especially these days?"1

Another life-imitating-art-imitating-life moment: One of the reputable sites (F4Wonline or Torch, I can't recall) said Matt Hardy was the one to bail Jeff out. Just like Matt complained when he did the poorly-received heel turn a few months ago.

If Hardy avoids jail time, he could go back to TNA, since they don't give a shit what you put in your body. Hardy vs. Angle, World Title and year's supply of Soma on a Pole match?

1 -- yes, yes they would. but that wouldn't keep them from making the argument.

Vince isn't that afraid about pissing off the government. He spent an entire Raw ripping on them when they wanted him to testify about steroid use.

True, but I think that was before one of his wrestlers killed two members of his own family and then committed suicide. I realize that the WWE has a new drug policy in place and what not, but I'm not sure if the WWE really wants to just wave its genitals in the general area of the government by making this a storyline issue.
