It would be good to see them sign Ricky Steamboat Jr., but I don't know how long they'd keep him in development before calling him up. He looks a lot like his dad on the YouTube videos I've watched, but he's probably not ready to jump into Raw yet. I thought Snuka's kid had potential. Was weird that they had Dibiase's brother at one Raw and Summerslam and then dropped him. As for guys currently on a WWE show, Carlito would be a good fit. I can't see Chavo or Rey as part of Legacy.

Carlito has undeniable in-ring skill, plus he has the chops on the mic. The issue here is that WWE would have to re-elevate him because they've buried him pretty far down the card.

Besides that, what show are you guys looking forward to most this week -- Raw, ECW, SD or Impact? I've got RAW on DVR, but I'm debating the merits of even watching it this week. I've gotta say I'm most interested in *gasp!* Impact, then probably ECW...

Smackdown and ECW, in that order, are the most compelling shows to me on a weekly basis. Both have great wrestling and decent if unspectacular storylines, with a few standout things every so often. While the Taker-Punk feud can't hope to match the energy and heat of Punk-Hardy, it is still much fresher than anything on Raw.

I consider Raw and Impact about equivalent right now, which is a sad statement to make. Raw at least has a basic level of competence from week to week - Even the horrid one with Cedric the Entertainer at least had an average match or two. In contract, TNA can have really high highs (the women's division at times, Styles and the other smaller guys getting time to work) and abysmal lows that make me wonder how the company hasn't combusted yet (Sting vs. Samoa Joe PPV, Foley's title reign).

Ben Roethlisberger is next week's guest host. I know Monday is the off day for NFL players, but it's kind of a weird time for him to do it. The Steelers have a Sunday night game, then a road game the next week. Plus, they're in Wilkes-Barre and not Pittsburgh. It's all the way on the other side of the state.
Would've figured he'd wait until the bye week to do something like this.

Raw is in Worcester Nov. 2, the Steelers' bye week.

I thought it was Buffalo? Either way, it just seems like awkward timing.

Nope. They're in Buffalo the week before, when Pittsburgh hosts Minnesota.

It would make more sense for him to host it Nov. 23, when Raw is in Hershey, PA, but the Stillers are on the road at Kansas City.

So any thoughts on Raw? I was waiting for Orton to go through the cage with that FU, but no. Mick Foley called to say that was weak.

I doubt anyone will go through a cage anymore. The risk is too great. Vince doesn't want another in-ring death on his hands.

Raw was OK, although, there were two things about the main event that bothered me: 1. Why did the cage lower in the first place? Cena just raises his hand, and it magically comes down. It requires a little bit more suspension of belief. 2. Cena and Orton didn't really have a match, just a little brawl. Considering that it's a gauntlet, I would have liked to see a result, even if they both were counted out or something.

Sharpton wasn't that great, although it was funny to hear the Albany crowd boo him. The best part was Santino mistaking him for Don King.

The first bits with Sharpton in the back were decently funny, for the most part. Santino definitely made up for the dud that was Hornswoggle and Chavo.

And is it just me, or did the cage for HITC get bigger? I don't ever remember it being that high.
