MM, I just read the spoilers and didn't see anything about that.

Can anyone imagine Taker's last match vs. Cena, who breaks his Wrestlmania streak?

Yeah, 'cause if there's anything the WWE fan base needs more, it's reasons to hate Cena.

Speaking of Cena, just watched the Breaking Point I Quit match vs. Orton. Dude got his ass whooped in that match. Jesus.

Cena would probably be a good choice for Taker's Wrestlemania opponent. The streak has taken on a life of it's own in the last few years and an opponent who is seen as a threat to end the streak (Batista, Edge, Michaels), is needed, as opposed to someone who you know is going to get beat (A-Train, anyone?).

Having said that, Cena should lose to Taker, because fans might shit on it if Cena wins. Michaels did a hell of a job last time in getting fans wanting to watch the match and making fans think he might win.

In a perfect world, Taker uses the first WM loss to give someone that final push into the main event. Problem is, it almost never works in practice because you need the opponent to be credible, and nowadays, credible opponents are guys already in the main event (there was a simpler time when a Giant Gonzalez could be considered a threat because he was so big; now we know he sucks and would lose). It's a vicious cycle.

Maybe someone like a Jack Swagger, who seems marked for greatness, although they've really fucked with his development since jumping him to Raw. Or Sheamus down the road, depending on how HE develops. There aren't many obvious opponents on the Smackdown roster (if they weren't doing it tonight, Undertaker-Jericho would be an intriguing matchup). Batista would be boring and sucky and thus is the likely choice.

Jericho would be an interesting choice because, apparently, he's only fought Undertaker one-on-one once. It was at a house show in Puerto Rico a couple months ago. They haven't even worked more than a couple tag or triple threat matches together.
For two guys who have been around as long as they have to be a fresh matchup, it's kind of unique.
Maybe Jericho wins the title in the Survivor Series triple threat, then feuds with Big Show while Taker takes some time off. Taker comes back at the Rumble and feuds with Jericho leading into Wrestlemania.

Now that is something I could get into.

Apparently you didn't watch Smackdown this week.

I did, and I was shocked that that match actually went off without a hitch. Even had a good, clean finish. I was really expecting Big Show to run in at the opening bell. Didn't expect them to give that match away for free, and on Smackdown no less.
A Jericho-Taker feud would still be fresh and fun, though.

Been enjoying this Raw so far. Piper seemed like his usual half-drunk self during his promo with McMahon. The comedy bits have been decent. And the Kofi-Orton brawl was great. I can't believe they're actually making Kofi a legitimate threat. I just hope they let him have some payoff when it matters.
