The only one who's had a rematch with 'Taker was Kane and that was six years apart.

I agree that Orton has evolved considerable in the five years.

    No F-N way. Never happens.

If Taker jobs to anyone, it's got to be an established person because you can't take the chance at blowing that streak on someone who flames out.

Agreed. Sheamus is relatively new, and who knows if he'll end up a main eventer or just another midcarder (Festus, anyone?)

Someone like Punk, or Morrison would be credible.

A random guy with a winning streak? No (and it may be too soon for Sheamus anyway; maybe next year if he's still rising). But Wrestlemania has a tradition of lifting people up to the very top (Hogan-Warrior, Bret-Austin, Cena and Batista winning at one WM, Benoit and Guerrero winning at another). And Undertaker isn't the guy to break out the boo boo face when it comes time to job.

    So much for brand separation.

No kidding. But I do like the idea of this episode quite a bit, and Ventura had a great opening promo that the crowd seemed to respond to.

So, looks like Cena has a new shirt.
Funny how his slogan is 'you can't see me' -- um, yeah, in the bright orange, I think I can.

Is the battle royal at the next PPV to determine who faces the Raw and/or SmackDown champ? Then what the hell is the Royal Rumble for?

    The battle royal is tonight.

The title match at Wrestlemania. Yeah, they're repeating the concept. But I guess they're counting on a different No. 1 contender by January (sarcasm font is on).

OK. I didn't realize the battle royal was for tonight. Forgot it was a 3-hour show tonight, tuned in at 9 and saw Orton beat Bourne for a spot in the match at Breakthrough or whatever.

I'm hoping Orton doesn't win this thing, but I have a feeling he will.

    Or Kofi.

I do find it funny that 7 out of the 8 guys are Raw guys. Here's Batista threatening the winner if it's a Smackdown guy and R-Truth is the only one in it.
