A little surprised Kofi didn't win the battle royal, but I didn't mind that finish. It continues the Kofi-Orton feud nicely. Meanwhile, Sheamus follows in the shoes of the Big Show, the Great Khali and Umaga as the "Ah, we got nothin' else for this PPV, let's build up a monster heel and let the invincible champion take him down against all odds" guy.
I like this. If nothing else, it's the first time in probably a year that we've had someone outside the inner circle break through. I just worry Sheamus won't recover when Cena beats him.

Fun show tonight. I liked it. It was a little weird hearing Vince and Jesse on the mic during the battle royal. It'd be kind-of like hearing Rizzuto or Mel Allen broadcast today's Yankees.

The end of the show was good. Cena sitting down, then standing up when Sheamus demanded it and saying (paraphrasing here), "Fine, you want me to take you seriously, here I am."

Obviously, I don't expect Sheamus to beat Cena, but still, it's good to see a different contender for once.

I did like the Ventura-McMahon dynamic, and that they actually played it straight like the old days. No pissed-off, brooding Mr. McMahon, just the somewhat wimpy and naive Vince McMahon. And Ventura was surprisingly good considering he probably hasn't called a match in 20 years.

I was hoping Kofi would win the battle royal, but at least him not winning continues what has been one helluva storyline with Orton. And hopefully this is a one-time deal with Sheamus and not something we'll be subjected to for the next few months.

This all seems a bit too soon for Sheamus.

    Then again, Hunter loves him.

Good show tonight. It kept me from flipping to Monday Night Football for the first time in awhile.

    Sheamus? Really? Really?

Loved Raw tonight but, of all the guys, him? I mean, there were four legit guys in that match that could have used the push (Kofi, Dibiase, Henry, MVP) and they went with the newcomer?

Liked the promos Ventura cut. Dude's still got it. Maybe if this whole TV Show thing doesn't pan out for him, he'll come back and be the permanent GM for Raw.

Oh, and I am PUMPED that Maryse is back. I love that chick and she finally gives Raw a legit Diva.

I was 100 percent *certain* it was gonna be Kofi...then we get fucking Sheamus. Not pleased. I *am* pleased, however, that Maryse is back :D

Also cool to see DX get a possible run with the tag straps...maybe a chance to wreak havoc on both shows before one/both hang 'em up?

I'm more interested in seeing Sheamus with Cena than Henry for sure, and MVP has lost his edge since joining up with Henry. Kofi's continuing his white-hot feud with Orton, so that's fine. I don't imagine this will be anything other than a one-off match, but if you're going to shake shit up, shake it up.

I'm now officially confused about what they're doing with Legacy, and particularly DiBiase. I was OK with throwing the dissension on the back burner for a couple of weeks after the Orton-DiBiase "match", because you could buy that DiBiase learned humility or decided to bide his time for a bit before he struck. But I thought the whole point of having DiBiase turn face was to support his movie? Maybe the Kofi program is working out better than planned and they're sticking with that? Now Legacy is an afterthought, and an opportunity to further a breakup angle during the battle royal never came to be. Strange.

I was also thinking the battle royal could have been a big spot for DiBiase. They could have had him win it and have Orton go nuts for someone in Legacy other than himself get the title shot.

Anyone else think his movie looks like a steaming pile of shit?

I mean, when even the trailer can't make a flick seem worth watching, you know something's wrong.
