Any chance they do the "new blood vs. old guard" angle leading into the Rumble and Wrestlemania?
It's been done in other places with mixed results, but it's been a while since the WWE has tried it. Seems like they might be setting that up.

How the hell do you win a chair match?

*Please* tell me it's not first guy to connect with a chair shot. I just figured it meant chairs were legal...

That would be awesome if done correctly, with some of the top card guys losing matches, but I can't see them doing it now. It seems like more of an after-Mania program. Like if they really wanted to push it properly, have the Mania main event be something with some top card guys - Cena vs. Taker, HHH vs. HBK, whatever - and then as the show is ending, have some young heels like The Miz and Jack Swagger and The Hart Foundation and (maybe) Orton beat the crap out of the main eventers.

  5. Speaking of WM, the biggest X-factor could be Kurt Angle. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think he's signed a long-term extension with TNA. If WWE could sign him soon, imagine the impact if they could pull off Angle as the 30th participant at RR in a manner similar to bringing Cena back two years ago.

Much of CM Punk's slide down the card has a lot to do with the fact he questioned why Cena has a different set of rules compared to everyone else. It's clear that if you piss off WWE's Four Horsemen (Cena, HHH, Orton, HBK), you're facing a future filled with matches against R-Truth and Hornswoggle skits.

BTW, whoever takes Hornswoggle out of WWE for good would become my favorite wrestler.

Would never happen. For the most part, WM is about the feel-good at the end of the show.

See, I figure it'd be easier to start it at the Royal Rumble. Dibiase and Rhodes finally turn on Orton by eliminating him from the Rumble. Say Sheamus runs in on Cena's match, then either Sheamus (if he still has any heat left after TLC) or Kofi win the Rumble for the WM title shot. Then you build from there.
Cena and DX have enough in common to work together to maintain their place. Orton wouldn't like it, but he'd side with them for the same reason.
Jerishow, who despite their main events and title reigns have never really gotten the same push as the other four, can be on the fence. They can talk about how it used to be in WCW, and sympathize with the young guys, while staying heels by angling for more title shots against Cena, Orton, HHH and HBK -- or even do both, by siding with the new guys because they figure they're easier to beat.

When is the TLC or whatever PPV?

hm, Those are pretty solid ideas. I'd be for it, just because it would be something different.

The only thing is, they should try to avoid teaming up heels and faces too much. That's where fans become confused and the program flops.

In WCW, you had the Millionaire's Club (Flair, Hogan, Nash, etc.) against the young guys. Problem was, the fans were rooting for the Millionaire's Club when they should have been booing them.

That also happened with the Invasion. The WWE tried to make the WCW guys be the babyfaces, but the fans sympathized with the WWE wrestlers. That, and having a bunch of wrestlers suddenly proclaiming their allegiance to WCW/ECW when they had been in the WWE already (like the Dudleys), didn't make much sense.

An Old vs. Young angle would work, but it wouldn't be easy to pull off.

Didn't TNA just get done doing the young vs. old thing with the Main Event Mafia? At least that shows WWE how not to do it.
