Pretty cold, heartless statement from WWE:

Just had to make sure they made it clear that Umaga wasn't on the payroll when he died so they could wash their hands of the whole thing. Given all the bad publicity in recent years, I guess I understand it, but it just seems pretty scumbag-ish.

That's SOP for the WWE nowadays. I hate how they treat former/current superstars who pass away, but there's not much anyone can do about it.

I think after the Benoit thing, they are very, very cautious about how they recognize a wrestler's death. Also, while yeah this is too soon to say, the circumstances of his death sure do scream "drugs", and the guy refused to go into treatment offered by the WWE. They've offered to pay for rehab for any of their past performers who want it, even guys like Jake Roberts, so I'm not sure what else they can do.

  4. Wasn't he on Hogan's tour for some time? I would guess that he must have been targeted for a spot in TNA once Hogan and company came back.

Sad, sad news. Dead at 36....way too young.

He had just gotten back from that tour a few days ago, I believe.

Pretty much. They've actually fired him twice, once for some sort of backstage thing during the 3 Minute Warning days, then for failing a drug test twice and not going to rehab. Given the circumstances, it shouldn't be surprising that they don't fete him the way they did Owen or Eddy.

    Somewhere, David Stern is smiling.

Wow, I didn't watch Raw, but that clip was the last one before the opening of Sportscenter tonight. I'm guessing you're referring to Seamus spearing Mark Cuban through a table?

The biggest question I have is whether Cuban gets fined for his dig at the NBA refs.

All in all, good show, really set the PPV up nicely.

A little strange in the tag matches though. Primo and Evan Bourne? WTF? And Eve and Hornswoggle? WTF?

Good show though. Loved the Kofi/Orton finish, loved the JeriShow standing over DX finish as well.

Why should he? It was for a TV show ...

As long as it ends that God-awful Hornswoggle-Chavo angle, who cares?

First, I wonder about the fine because Stern is a bit of an ass to people who criticize the refs in public and considering it's THIS week in particular (What with Donoghue (sp*) getting out of prison), I wouldn't put it past him.

And as for the Chavo storyline, I thought they ended that weeks ago. Wasn't the Osbourne RAW the last time they mentioned it? I can't seem to remember those two going at it since.
