True. If not for the HHH factor, Sheamus most likely still be in ECW.

Don't know if anyone here saw the Slammy nominees yet but here's the list:

I'm a touch confused by the nominees. For one, how does Undertaker get on the Superstar of the Year list when he was out of action for six months? Also, how can Sheamus' table attack of Mark Cuban make the cut? That just happened last week!

If there's any truth to this list, Cena wins Superstar of the Year (Taker was out, Orton has been losing for quite some time now and Punk has, yet again, dropped down to B-level status).

Apart from that, I hope Beth Phoenix gets Diva of the Years honors (Chick is a beast!), Hardy off the ladder was most extreme moment easily, Sheamus is obviously the breakout superstar, Jerishow is an easy choice for Tag Team, Orton's DDT on Steph was the best shocker there, and Michaels-Taker is the obvious only choice for Match of the Year.

As for the other two categories, both have shit choices. I guess Shaq gets guest host honors simply because the other three all sucked balls (Why no love for Ventura?) and I think the "Oh My" Moment category should be changed to "Oh My God, where's the remote" with those crap choices.

I disagree on the heat. I thought that match had the most pop of any the entire night. Sure, each match had its big spots that got the crowd going, but Orton and Kofi had the crowd going all night. Orton's RKO got the biggest pop of any finisher of the night.

It's always nice to see a story written about the guy who helped inspire my SportsJournalists.com name. Baron was inducted into a St. Louis Wrestling Hall of Fame over the weekend:

I don't know what's worse: Dennis Miller's opening monologue, or Cole and Lawler's very fake laughter.

Dennis Miller's jokes will go over the head of your average Raw viewer like Charles Lindbergh searching for Amelia Earhart in a 747 while juggling the head of Alfredo Garcia in a vatful of chardonnay.

When the hell is the Undertaker going to retire? I mean, this guy is older than the cuneiform in Nebuchadnezzar's tomb.

That question could be asked about a bunch of other wrestlers: Hogan, Flair, Sting, Scott Steiner, etc. Taker only does a 6-8 month schedule, so it's like he's semi-retired already.

Also: Why is the Superstar of the Year slammy being determined by a four-man tournament? Why not leave that up to fan vote -- assuming the fan's votes mean anything?

You're actually putting thought into this?

Damn... you really are an Undertaker mark. :D It was a joke playing off Dennis Miller.

After listening to Cena's rant, I'm trying not to.

    Good God, this is awful.
