I know I've said this before but what the WWE is doing with its Divas is ridiculous. They actually have several women now that can actually hold their own in the ring (Beth Pheonix, Mickie half the time, Maryse, McCool, Melina, Natalia) and they resort to these crap matches where you can just see the lack of respect.

It's a shame but, considering what happened at WM25, it's not surprising in the least bit.

Um, guys, I was being literal, of course. ::)

  3. I know I wasn't the only one here privately hoping someone would go off script and apply a finishing hold on Miller.

Can't remember the last time I sat and watched Raw beyond flipping between MNF and whatever game (hockey, baseball, hoops) was also on. We should all hope TNA's Monday night bid works, because that's about the only way it will wake WWE up from the slag-like shows they've delivered most of this year.

Next week's guest host is Johnny Damon, and they're in Tampa. While the Yanks have some fans down there because of spring training, wouldn't it have made more sense to have Damon be the host in New York, or as a heel host in Boston or Philly?

I imagine that when the show is actually in New York, they can probably get a host better than Johnny Damon. Then again, it was in New York a couple weeks ago, and I can't even remember who the host was, except that they had an awful skit with Judah Friedlander.

Monday's show was just an up-and-down mess. I liked DX screwing over JeriShow, even though I'm a Jericho mark. The Masters bit was good. Pretty much everything Miller did sucked except for the Bret Hart tease. Cena vs. Orton was surprisingly good, considering how much they've fought, and I'm glad they let Orton kick out of an FU. Not pleased that they let Cena essentially squash Punk.

I mentioned it earlier, but was I the only one that thought Miller's rant to Jericho was incredibly clever?
Miller was talking about Jericho pushing his agenda when nobody watching Raw cares about it, and how it sucks the life out of the show. It was an obvious double entendre about the guest hosts doing the same thing. I thought it was awesome.

True, I thought that part was kind of clever, but it loses some effectiveness when it comes in hour three of Raw, after he spent the first two just effing up.

I missed most of the screwups firsthand. I was watching "Heathers".

Piper was the guest host. He was pretty good (as have been most of the ex-wrestlers hosting).

I just can't see the Tampa fans really caring that Damon is the host.

I thought hell froze over when Eric Bischoff joined the WWE. Now, it's really frozen. Bret Hart has signed to return to the WWE:

Well, now we know why Vince McMahon keeps emphasizing that he's retired from the ring unless a suitable opponent can be found. Can you say, Bret vs. Vince? Even if it's only a two-minute match because you have an over-50 guy who had a stroke against a guy in his mid-60s.

Can't be any worse than Piper-Hogan back in the dying days of WCW.
