2009 Running Pro Wrestling Thread

Jericho's mega-heel role and (I think) good acting makes a lot of people hate him. Sadly, some wrestling fans don't/can't discern from acting and reality and judging from the video, these idiots tried to treat him like the jerk he plays, not the person he "really is."

 

I sense that Jericho's publicity with the Rourke angle and this latest fiasco with the fans in Victoria, BC, only enhance his heel status and I'm guessing the "bad publicity is good publicity" thing can only help him right now as a heel.

 

I don't condone hitting women at all, but I would think a lot of fans would side with Jericho on this after seeing that video. That woman was obviously way out of line and then spitting on him was asking for some sort of action from Jericho. While hitting her was way over the edge, I can't say she didn't deserve it.

 

OK, watching again for the first time in a few weeks ...

Did they seriously rename Cena's "F.U." and are now calling it the "Attitude Adjustment"?

 

I thought I heard it last week, but this week confirmed it for me. Did Michael Cole call Cena's FU the "Attitude Adjustment?" I wonder if Vince finally nixed the move's name simply because it resembles that of a vulgar phrase and all.

I heard it last week, but I was drifting in and out of sleep so when I heard the "Attitude Adjustment" I was thinking, "Oh, great. Cena has another finisher move," but I didn't see what it was. Now I know the "Attitude Adjustment" is really the "FU."

 

Maybe Ric Flair is returning, as Raw commissioner

 

That might not work considering when Flair returned to the WWE/WWF in 2002 (IIRC), he came in as the co-owner of the corporation which then led Vince to bring in the nWo, etc.

 

OK, I drifted in and out of sleep while watching Raw. I did see Shane's horribly bad miss on the last spot and CM Punk winning in a stiff-ass match (again!) but other than that, a little recap from you fine folk would help. Oh and I saw the Flair stuff too.

 

Yeah, they renamed it. They're going back to the PG version of wrestling.
