Swagger beats Matt Hardy to win the title. Christian debuts against Swagger. ECW is being taped in Fresno tonight before Smackdown so perhaps this isn't the only appearance of the night for Christian?

Is Vince making Christian pay for leaving WWE in the first place by sticking him on ECW?

I guess he could help boost ratings, and soon come back to Raw or Smackdown if he's a good soldier...

He'll get a run on the big boy brands.

This is just to reintroduce the character and put him in a title program with Swagger. ECW's roster is thin, they could use him for a bit.

Also, TNA released Petey Williams and Lance Hoyt.

Williams has to be pretty much a lock to be in WWE. He has the look and the talent.

Not to mention that devastating finisher, the Canadian Destroyer.

One of the best ever for sure.

Doesn't matter ... Christian was an established face in WWE (and very over when he left). No reason to reintroduce him ... people know him. Many were anticipating his redebut.

Compare Christian's redebut vs. this one, Jeff Hardy's:
    (fast forward to 5:40)

    Unreal.

  8. Actually, ECW is live tonight. Christian came out to a big pop. He did challenge the winner of this Sunday's ECW title match.

Petey Williams could make a nice run with WWE, too. Hes got a good physique and he works the mic well.

It's ECW. He's on the ECW roster ... a step down from TNA.

    Unreal.

While I agree with you fully about him being on ECW, I'm sure before he signed his contract, he was aware of the implications upon coming back, and that he'd be anything more than a mid-card talent. While the TNA World Title is nothing more than a piece of tin, he did hold that title twice. He's worth much more in WWE.

I'm sure he'll make an appearance on the Smackdown taping, or will be moved to Raw or Smackdown in the near future.

    EDIT: 2,000th ;D

Christian looked very rusty in that match. I think this is to just get his "feet wet" again in the WWE's stiff ass ring.

    Then again, you never know.
