The hardcore title was actually a pretty good championship, that is, until they started the ridiculous 24-7 rule. That's why you see Crash Holley as a 27-time (or whatever it is) champion.

Back to the PPV, how the heck does Edge just beat up Kingston, insert himself in the match, and win the belt? Shouldn't the ref have just called security to boot him out of the cage?

I understand that since Shane and Stef were at 'the hospital', that there was no leadership around. Still, I would think that allowing a wrestler to just insert himself in a match seems a little ridiculous, even for pro wrestling standards.

That's the main reason why it's terrible booking.

What's stopping any other wrestler from pulling this in any other title match from now on? It's shoddy last-minute Russo-esque booking and as some of you know, I'm usually the one defending WWE. No excuse for this one.

  3. Wait, if Umaga's from Houston then how come he doesn't speak any English?

He's from The Isle of Samoa, damn it!

Was that part of the stimulus plan?

A lot of people in Houston speak no English.

Should be an interesting Raw tonight. I'm hoping I won't fall asleep again.

I still get a chuckle anytime I see anything referring to this as Wrestlemania's "25th Anniversary" .... since it's not the 25th anniversary.

Consider me naive, but I don't quite understand you here. I believe I do, but I'll let someone else put in their insight.

Well, the first Wrestlemania is Wrestlemania I, the second is Wrestlemania 2, and so on .... last year's Wrestlemania was 24, this year's is 25.

So in WWE logic, your wedding day would be your first anniversary ... which is obviously incorrect.

The first Wrestlemania was in 1985 ... that would make 2010 the 25th anniversary. So simple ... yet so stupid that this was able to get by everyone. About as stupid as people who call the first incarnation of an event "First Annual."

Ah, I got ya. That's what I thought you meant. Totally correct, too. I don't get why WWE keeps trying to put these new stupid new twists on Wrestlemania each year. Like when they were in LA, they were all promoting: "Wrestlemania is going Hollywood." Just shut up, already. It's Wrestlemania 25 and that's it. It's a big enough spectacle in itself without having to give it some other sort of prop.
