@slappy: You didn't have to take my ballot (it was way late). Thanks for doing so anyway.

Anybody else completely unimpressed by Boise the other night? I thought they looked like they're good enough to win the championship ... of Conference USA. I have 'em at 8, but I'm rethinking it. What Tulsa presented shouldn't have even slowed a real title contender down.

I think we have about three pages dedicated to Boise on the NCAA football thread. Just saying. But it can certainly be discussed here. I have them at eight, I think. That's about where I feel they are.

I was running late too, it was in when I was compiling the others. Love ya, but I didn't do it as a favor.

And Boise might have not looked great against a lesser team, but find me a top 5 team that will do that every game, all season. Every team has at least one bad game against an opponent they should smoke...

Every team has off nights. Boise's didn't result in a loss.

Utah beat Weber State 37-21 last year, and I still think they might have deserved the national championship because the resume merited it. Boise State has beaten Fresno State and Miami (Ohio) more soundly than Cincy has this season, and some people view Cincy as a top-five team.

If everything holds to form the rest of the night, how will you treat Boise's win against Tulsa?

Would it be too much of a stretch for me to jump Alabama two spots to No. 1 this week?

I dropped Boise State one spot. Iowa (wins at 6-1 Penn State and 5-2 Wisconsin; beat 4-2 Arizona and 5-2 Michigan) and TCU (wins at 3-3 Clemson and 3-3 Virginia) have better resumes, but it's not like I'm jumping a one-loss team above the Broncos.

Texas Tech (22nd) and Arizona (25th) moved in, Oklahoma (22nd) and Auburn (24th) dropped out.
