... and still hasn't lost yet.

Count me among the people who has Florida at No. 1. In fact, I have all year.

Alabama gets their shot this weekend. Should be a great game.

I had the Gators at No. 1 for the first few weeks of the season up til that 3-point win over Arkansas.

Based on what? They've beaten more teams that were ranked at the time?

I'm not saying it's not or it is, I'm just trying to figure out your criteria for the claim.

Sure it's a factor, but so can be issues like how they performed against common opponents, total offense, total defense and strength of schedule (or opponents record).

If you base it on one item alone then yeah any undefeated can be No. 1 if you find the right criteria. I tend to weight more than just one criteria myself.

If you think Alabama is the better team, fine. Just go with that.
But if you are going to make a statement about them having a better resume then you might want to put up that resume.

I can assure you, it wasn't me. Beating a lame-duck Mangino only because said coach made a series of blunders during the final minutes to blow it didn't do it for me.

Dixie and I run neck-and-neck as the two biggest Bama apologists fans on the board, but I just don't see Alabama beating Florida.

Granted, Florida isn't as good as they were last year, but Alabama can't come from behind against a decent defense. Auburn pissed that game away, and Alabama was lucky to win it.

Color me shocked if Alabama wins Saturday.

You are colored shocked tbf, you are welcome.

I'm a little upset Texas is winning, cause my TCU No. 1 could have been put to the test then.

Central Michigan had its chance to show itself worthy of the top 25 but was soundly beaten by a mediocre Boston College team, and it didn't put away Ohio in the MAC final very soundly. No way should it be ranked.
