And now the players appear to be turning on Spoelstra. Poor dude.

Does that mean he refused to let the team dance during pregame warmups, ala the Cavs of the last few years?

In on-court news, the Pacers had another nice win last night in LA. First victory ever at The Forum, er, Staples Center. Hibbert outplayed Gasol, who looked really fatigued. In the top-heavy East, Pacers should definitely make the playoffs.

It has to be Tyler Hansbrough's effort carrying them over the top, particularly the way he listens in the huddle.

It's never, ever LeBron's fault. Never.

Oh, this is just me thinking out loud. No clue if this would actually happen, but if I owned the Heat or was their GM, I would look at breaking this up ASAP while I still could.

You don't think 17 games in is just a wee bit premature for this type of thinking? Yeesh.

Re Pacers: the looser fanboi in me did not think they would be taking the sting from a lousy Colts year.

Also, Roy Hibbert is turning into a real beast, and the point guard combo of Darren Collison and T.J. "Contract Year" Ford has been solid. And, it's finally nice to see them taking defense seriously again.

That is what I said another 15-20 games would be a good barometer, but looking back on the past big NBA moves, this group is not promising.

Okay. Even though I didn't have a problem with him jumping to Miami, to then lose games *and* drive off a coach for expecting him to be serious, all within the few months?

On the theory that the NBA is rigged anyway, this is some kind of orchestrated pro wrestling heel turn. He's going to start coming out to the court with a microphone before games and tell a kid he'll give him $500 if he dribbles a basketball 10 times, then kick it away on nine.

If Riley, or whoever the next coach is, can turn this group into a NBA Finals squad, then they deserve coach of the decade.

The Heat have no one to protect the rim. No one. Z is a tanned, slimmed down, shell of the average player he used to be.

Your two best players cannot play on the same half of the court, or at least they are not now, so defending them is much easier. Somehow they need to be on the same half of the court breaking down defenses for each other, but that seems to be much easier typed than done.

And Bosh looks like a glorified version of Thurl Bailey.

I could read Wojnarowski on LeBron all day.
