    Basically, it is.

Hell, not so long ago, the way most coaches taught to "take a charge" was to plant your feet, cross your arms in front to protect the valuables, and let the "charger" ram into you like a telephone pole.

The desired end result was you standing there like a stone pillar, and the "charger" bouncing backward ass over teakettle to the floor.

All this Eurofairy flopping, arms waving, all that crap, came in in the last 20 years or so.

The way to deal with it, again, is: if you are gonna get called for offensive fouls, get your fucking money's worth -- put your head down, bulldoze the motherfucker shoulder (or elbows) to jaw as you go through them, and make sure you leave three or four tire-tread footprints tracking right up his torso.

Make the fuckers regret it. Nobody flopped to try to draw charging fouls on Wilt Chamberlain. They knew if they tried it they'd be leaving the court on a stretcher.

The other option is the league could step in and impose fines or some type of sanction when a flop is as egregiously blatant as that Bosh example. That shit seriously is embarrassing to the league and undermines it's credibility. There needs to be SOME sort of negative consequence for the players that make a habit of it. I know it's become an intrinsic part of Euro soccer culture and soon the NBA will have the same association if more isn't done to crack down on that bullshit.

Either the league is going to have to start handing out fines/suspensions for egregrious flops, or the players will take the solution into their own hands as suggested above.

People like to compare the NBA to "playground streetball."

What happens in playground games if some pansy-ass starts flopping to draw offensive fouls?

    See above.

The Cavaliers thought they had locked up "laughingstock of the Central Division", but the Pistons topped them tonight. Half the team mutinied against John Kuester by not showing up at the shootaround, so they just got smoked by 76ers with only six players.

Another big Miami loss in the last week in which a bad LeBron three-point jack misfire is an important play. Where's Wayldo?
