Meanwhile, the proverbial button has been pushed by a certain 2-time defending champion.

They don't "want" to cry, but they are "doing" it.

Not finished, but he was on his way to being an elite player in the league when he was 22, 23 and 24. Now he is an average player making 16 mil a season.

    Has anyone ID'd the criers?

(Should this be its own thread?)

Spoelstra looks like a jobber about to have the smack laid down upon him by Roberto Duran or Alexis Arguello for 15 rounds.

Harvet Araton broaches the subject of Riley replacing Spoelstra:

I don't follow the NBA very closely. Have other media outlets been talking about this?

Riley is not going to make Dampier or Ilgaskus any better on the pick and roll or a legitimate post up threat.

Heat losing streak reaches five, at home compliments of a good Portland team. Bron Bron and Wade had ridiculously great numbers. Emphasis on the ridiculous. Forget about the shooting stats (26-41, compared to 11-31 for the rest of the team), they combined for 13 of 20 assists and 17 of 31 rebounds.

This is dual suns not necessarily burning each other out, but certainly burning out the rest of their solar system.

What would be more shocking right now?

The Heat not winning four games in the playoffs or making the Finals?

Who's their first-rounder if the playoffs started today? The Knicks? They'd get their four wins there. Team built on the same formula as the Heat, except their three stars aren't quite as good (although plenty good).
