I like the Arnott move. Don't get me wrong, I loved Stecks (hi JC). But Johannson is not ready to be a second-line center in the playoffs, and the Caps needed a veteran presence to get that second line going. If he can light a fire under Semin's Charmin-soft ass, then it was worth making the move. We shall see.

Arnott is a great leader when he feels like it.

Not sure why you directed that at me but I have no probelm with Steckel.

I see, probably the use of "Stecks". It's too bad they didn't pick up "Tucksie"

If there's one thing the Caps need it's intangibles. Steckel was one of my favorites on this team. But if someone is willing to stick a skate up Semen's ass, and maybe Ovi's too, then that's a good thing. Steckel just didn't have the stature to do it. I hate losing the guy, but there's a chance it could work I guess.

Contrast him with Torres, who had played for his fifth team (plus two in the minors) before Klesla had played for his second.

Maybe there was talk of this back when the season started, but what do people think of the new regular season tiebreaker rules?

Lessens the impact of shootout wins. Basically, it's wins minus shootout wins.

And with the Western teams packed so tightly, it could be a factor.

I'm in Toronto for business tonight and I am hoping to scalp a ticket for the Leafs/Pens. My plan is to head down to the ACC just before the puck drops and try to pick up a single/standing room only. Do I have any chance of getting a straggler just before faceoff? How much money should I bring? I am hoping not to make more than $50.
