Joseph did get a ton of money, but he didn't play for the Wings at all under the cap system.

If the B's get past Pittsburgh tomorrow night, they could be taking an eight-game winning streak into the Molson Tuesday for what could be regular season game of the year. Montreal has not been put away yet by any means.
Wonder if Les Habs call up Terrible Tim and Ogie, given what transpired in Boston last time. There's just as much animosity as Pens-Isles, only both teams are legit.

Cujo played two years for the Wings before the cap system at $8 million per.

Can't believe this isn't on here yet. Trevor Gillies gets 10 games for head hit on Cal Clutterbuck. He was three shifts into his return from his 9-game ban from the Penguins donnybrook. Deserved every single one of those games, especially considering he just got back from his suspension.

The one disappointing thing for me is that Clutterbuck got nothing. His hit on the Islander was far worse than the hit he took from Gillies. Thought it deserved at least three games. Not a head shot -- and that is the hot button topic these days, obviously -- but he drove the guy from behind in a prone position into the boards. He's lucky the Islander was not hurt. Clutterbuck likes to run around like a chicken with its head cut off, has he been suspended before?

Taylor Hall is done for the season with a high ankle sprain suffered in his fight last night against Derek Dorsett. Just a freak injury, leg got tangled when they fell to the ice.
All I can say is it figures. Oilers also without Hemsky for the next two or three weeks because for a shoulder injury. I wonder if they can swap their jerseys with Oklahoma because they will be icing an AHL lineup for the next few weeks.

Leafs are losing to the Hawks 3-0 after one. Geez, the Leafs can't keep up with the Hawks speed and keep turning the puck over in all zones. Reimer has been, well, Raycroft-like.

That was more for Nick who couldn't come up with how much he made. Just filling in the grey areas for all.

Bruins' winning streak ends at seven games, thanks to Dustin Jeffrey's overtime goal. Penguins played at New Jersey and at Boston -- the two hottest teams in the Eastern Conference -- on back-to-back nights and picked up three points. I'll take it.

A good stat about the Penguins sans Crosby and Malkin: They've yet to score more than three goals in a game since they've been out.

The Oilers with as many as six call ups and four additional rookies in the lineup have now won three in a row and are 7-3-0 in their last 10. Most amazingly they actually crawled out of the NHL basement today with a 5-1 win over the Avalanche.

This, a thousand times this. It's nice bs rhetoric that somehow players from yesteryear respected player more than now.

Did you miss that straight from the Gretzky 80s 6-5 win in Toronto last weekend?
