Who said anything about fighting him?

There'd be a Christmas theme regardless - he'd either be coming down like a felled tree, or he'd be carved up like a turkey. Eyes coming out of the sockets with a flick of the wrist!

Fractured C4 and a severe concussion....same injury that Steve Moore suffered, no?

Brake his ankle with a stick or better yet use the damn thing on his head.

No suspension, which is a ridiculous decision worthy only of the NHL abysmal hockey ops department.

Even if you think there's no intention, it's insanely reckless and dangerous and deserves at least a couple games just for that.

Anybody else think he wouldn't have skated - literally - if he weren't a superstar and/or he weren't the captain of one of the league's flagship franchises?

I don't know if I buy that. It's not like the league's pimping Chara all that much, and they have suspended Ovechkin twice.

Campbell's kid is a Bruin. I know it was Murphy who handled this, but still.

There's a star system in the NHL, and Zdeno Chara just became a big beneficiary.

I thought McKenzie had probably the most level headed approach to the situation.

He makes absolute sense. I kind of think that if we take a guy's history into account when assessing penalties for guys with a history of goonery we have to take the same account of a guy who does NOT have a history and give him the benefit of the doubt.

Goodness, Edmonton is a bad hockey team. Khabibulin just flat gave the Capitals two goals tonight.
