Both the Leafs and Oilers win in OT but Tim Thomas makes what may end up being the save of the year

Colby Armstrong “couldn’t believe it.” Nazem Kadri had “never, ever seen a save like that.” And François Beauchemin, who was the victim in what might be the greatest theft of the year on Saturday, simply said it was “unbelievable.”

Oil didn't just win in OT, Hall had the winner -- his second OT winner in their four game winning streak. Heating up now. I believe that's eight points in his last eight games.

Edit: Sorry, got a little excited there, Hall had a similar goal to win win it earlier in the year. This was his first OT winner. It was Penner I was thinking of who scored the winner in similar fashion in Montreal. Been a long week.

Great save, yes, but no better than Hiller on Kopitar earlier this week.

Thomas' save was light years better than Hiller's.

Habs win another one, 3-1 against the Sharks. Price won his 16th game of the year.

So Beef, do you still believe the Habs made the bad decision in getting rid of Halak?(I know it's still early) But Price is playing better, and Eller is showing some signs that he'll be a good one.

Somewhat insane that the Capitals and Thrashers have already met FIVE times this season. Spread these division game out a little, will ya?

Don't they still have another 27 games left against each other?

Probably. I had a friend post on Facebook something about how the Flyers would win the Presidents Cup every year playing in the Southeast. Kind of a ridiculous statement this year considering how shitty the Devils and Islanders are. Both have fewer points than the Panthers, the last-place team in the Southeast.

Thomas was making otherworldly saves all night. The Leafs should've had a half-dozen goals.

Luckily, he was absolutely ordinary in the shootout.

How is it nitpicking? You get a hard on when your Oil win a couple. The league is a league of parity, those Avalanche you speak of are a pretty good team. The West is stacked apart from Detroit, 2- 12 could finish within 12 points of each other.

Leafs down 4-1 to the Caps at the beginning of the third and come back to win 5-4 in a shootout.

That wasn't pretty. Caps have been in a funk of late. Not too concerned, but that wasn't a good picture tonight. Can't let up off the gas with a three-goal lead.

The game-tying goal was pretty. Great fake shot and pass right to the front of the crease for a tap-in.
