2010-2011 NHL season

Many people say Joe DiMaggio's 56-game hitting streak is one of those untouchable records that will never be broken. I kind of feel the same way about Gretzky's 51. That is just so many games and it's just inevitable that somewhere along the way you will encounter a super hot goalie, a trapping team (like the Islanders tonight), being shadowed by someone or just simply having an off night. Maybe you're missing a linemate because of an injury. Maybe you're plagued by penalties and spend all night killing power plays. Maybe you get dinged up in the first period. There's just so many things that can happen in 51 games. Just a remarkable accomplishment.

Don't necessarily 'hate' him, but I find it REALLY easy to strongly dislike him just because he's so much of a damned diva.

That said, I don't think there's anyone better in the game right now, or even close, for that matter.

There is a pretty cool moment in the most recent 24/7 where Dan Bylsma just grins at Crosby when the player is breaking down the keeper for his teammates in a shootout .

 

I've always been a big Brooks Laich fan, but the show is making me like him more and more.

Also, it seems Bruce Boudreau likes to eat.

The first episode is still the best but HBO capturing the on-ice intensity of the Pens/Caps game was pretty good.

Best line was Dan Bylsma between the second and third period. "Let's get this bitch here"

 

That's such horseshit, the diva part.

He has never separated himself from the team, if you want to look for a diva, just look at the Russian in DC.
