Can they just get rid of this farce?

Congrats to my boys Matt Duchene and Brent Burns for getting the nod.

Actually, I think this may be fun---the players getting to choose up their teams

And it's only a farce if you think it's supposed to resemble real hockey--like the Winter Classic.

And guys like Matt Duchene will have a blast.

it's a farce because it is the furthest thing from real hockey you can get.

The players picking the teams might be fun but then the 2.5 hours of hockey that follows is garbage.

    To each their own.

JC--I understand that as a hockey game it's nothing more than a very bad game of shinny.

It hasn't been a real game of hockey in years so I stopped getting upset out of a long time ago.

I'd still take it over the Outdoor Classic.

    Combine the 2.

I know full well that this will never happen since the NHL is making a shit load of money from the 2

  8. Likewise Dustin Byfuglien and Toby Enstrom. Come to think of it, congrats to all those selected.

Matt Martin on the business end of a Tanner Glass bomb last night on the Island. Watch the whole clip, the prelude is pretty funny.

Feeling weird about fights since watching Barclay Goodrow lying on the ice last Sunday. Scary.

Yeah, he wasn't concussed---he only had some teeth knocked out!

One of the most frightening endings to a fight that I have ever seen. Would have been infinitely worse if his helmet had come off. Easy to me to say since I wasn't on the business end of it, but aside from a fat lip and some stitches I think Barco's pride was hurt as much as anything, although it sure didn't look like it at the time.

Here's what HC is talking about:
